Potential Bets for 11/8/24
Panthers (+220) at Giants (-6.5) In Munich.. Over/Under: 40.5
I want to just throw it out right away, I am doing this game because it is in Munich. I don’t have much to say about either team. Both are bad and rebuilding, there is a reason the Over/Under is set so low because both of these offenses can’t drive down the field that well, and it should be a defensive battle. I just want to apologize to the entirety of Germany because I don’t know what you did in recent years to deserve having this football game played in your country. Is this the product we sent overseas? The giants should win this game, I don’t expect it to be high scoring, so I am going to take the under and the Panthers spread because I don’t think the Giants offense scores a lot, but I think the Panthers score less.
Pick: I guess the Panthers +6.5 and the Under
49ers (-6.5) at Buccaneers (+225) Over/Under: 50.5
Finally, it's time to talk about real football. Christian McCaffery is set to make his season debut for the Niners on Sunday, and he is going to open the field for the 49ers offense. It can not be understated just how important of a cog a run game is in an offensive scheme, and having the best runningback in the NFL who is also a major weapon out of the backfield is something that would benefit everyone on the offense, and is something that makes the Kyle Shannahan offense almost impossible to figure out when fully healthy. I think this is the game San Fransisco finally finds their footing, and I think their defense also gets back on track in a big way, forcing multiple turnovers in the Buc’s own territory to set up their offense for multiple scores.
Pick: 49ers -6.5
Cowboys (+280) at Eagles (-7) Over/Under: 43.5
The Cowboys are free-falling, and it’s kinda weird to see. I think the Eagles will win and cover this game, and I think they will do it with an offensive explosion. The Cowboys don’t have anyone to cover the amount of athletes the Eagles have on the field. They can spy on Jalen Hurts with Micah Parsons if he plays, and they can put Trevon Diggs on one of AJ Brown or Devonta Smith, but what about Saquon Barkley and the other of AJ Brown and Devonta Smith? The Cowboys don’t have enough pieces on defense to cover a potent offense like this, and I think the Eagles will blow them out at home. On the Other side of the ball, Dak looks nothing like himself this season, and it is a downfall I did not have on my bingo card. The Cowboys have nice pieces, but in my eyes, they just don’t fit together this season.
Pick: Eagles -7
Pick of the Day (No parlay because I am not confident enough in these)
The pick of the day would have to be 49ers -6.5. I think in Christian McCaffery’s return the 49ers offense is going to want to prove that they are one of the best in the NFL, still even without Brandon Aiyuk. I think that McCaffery is going to have a massive game and prove that nobody has anything to worry about in terms of a lingering Achilles injury.
