Potential Bets for 11/2/24

Three for four is a very nice way to bounce back to begin the month. I thought we were going to four for four, but with Jeanty not playing well in the first half, It was an uphill battle for most of that second half. However, I think that means our luck is beginning to turn a bit in terms of plays, and a full slate of College football awaits us for Today as well as some NBA action to offset all the football.

Ohio State (-3) at Penn State (+135) Over/Under: 47.5

I…. am conflicted. I think the Buckeyes have one of the better-constructed rosters in college football. They’ve spent enough NIL money to fund a small village, and they gave Oregon their biggest fight at Oregon. This is still a team that is poised to make a run at the National Championship and still…. Happy Valley is one of the toughest places to play, and I think people really underrate the Nittany Lion’s defense. Drew Allar, and Will Howard are honestly two evenly matched quarterbacks (Howard has seventeen more completions on seventeen more attempts, but five more touchdowns), so I think this game comes down to the defense and the skilled players. I am not going to predict a winner, instead, I’m gonna rock with the under and expect a very close game one way or the other.

Pick: Under 47.5

Texas Tech (+380) at Iowa State (-13.5) Over/Under: 56.5

This game will be closer than people think. I honestly really like Tech’s balanced offense, and I think Tahj Brooks is a severely underrated running back. He is on his way to breaking 1,000 yards easily this season, and they have the receivers to be able to compete with a lot of teams in the Big 12. The problems lie with their defense. In their last 4 games, they have given up 35, 59, 22, and 41 points. If Iowa State finds the defensive weaknesses early, then this game does have the potential to get away from the Red Raiders early. I think Rocco Becht finds ways to exploit Tech’s defense enough to win, but I think Tech hangs around with Iowa State for at least 3 quarters, and the Red Raiders cover.

Pick: Texas Tech +13.5

Texas A&M (-3) at South Carolina (+135) Over/Under: 43.5

I am hammering Texas Tech here. I think they are a significantly better team, and they have thoroughly impressed me up until this point in the season. I think their Week 1 loss to Notre Dame shouldn’t have too much impact on their Playoff chances, and I think the running games are what is going to make all the difference. These are two teams that rely on their runningbacks the most, and I think A&M’s offensive line, combined with a solid game from Le’Veon Moss is going to win the Aggies this game.

Pick: Texas A&M -3.

Warriors (+170) at Rockets (-5.5)

…..Golden State. I’m sorry, but I’m drinking the Kool-Aid. I honestly think this Warriors team is underrated. Yes, they are missing Steph Curry and De’Anthony Melton, but I honestly thought the games against the Pelicans on Tuesday and Thursday were going to be much more difficult than they were, and Golden State proved that their old motto of “Strength in Numbers” is still alive and well will this squad. This is a deep and scrappy Warriors team that will battle hard no matter how much they are trailing by and no matter who they are playing. Now, that’s not to say the Rockets don’t have players. Alperen Sengun.. Stud. Jalen Green… Stud. I still really like Fred Vanvleet, Dillon Brooks is a pest defensively, and with ime Udoka as Head Coach, they are monumentally better than a few years ago. If Golden State wants to compete for a title this year though these are the games they need to win, and I think they get a massive win to kick their road trip off,

Pick: Warriors Moneyline (+170)

Pick Of The Day/Parlay of the Day

My pick of the day is going to be Texas A&M -3. I think that even though the teams are going to be running the ball and draining the clock, A&M is just that much better than South Carolina and that they are going to be able to find a way to not only win this game but cover as well. In terms of a potential parlay, I would parlay the A&M spread with the Warriors moneyline and the Under for the Ohio State at Penn State game. Those are the three picks I am the most confident in to have a successful sports betting Saturday!
