Potential Bets for 11/1/24
Being cold the last few days of October made me step back and think about what these bets can look like. I have just been predicting the score of games, but it may be time to start rolling the dice on player props. Today we got College Football, Hockey, and Basketball, and I have a couple of plays I really like. I think they may be best served in a potential parlay, but one as a straight bet is definitely a move.
Pistons (+6.5) @ Knicks (-250)
Two predictions for this game. The first is the Knicks spread. I think they easily cover the -6.5 spread at home against a still-struggling Detroit team. The Pistons are 1-4, with a win in their last game on the road against the 76ers. Although 1-4 seems bad, they have looked competitive in their losses, showing that while they are a rebuilding team, they are looking to compete and show they are coming up right now. The Knicks are 2-2, got blown out on Opening night, and then blew the Pacers out. They are a confusing team to figure out right now, but I think that is because they are still adjusting to having Center Karl Anthony-Towns in the Lineup. My favorite bet in this game besides the Knicks Spread is Jalen Brunson Over 2.5 Threes right now at +120 on Bovada. Brunson has shown that he is still one of the most elite players in the league this season, averaging 22 points, on 44% pure shooting. I think the Pistons defense is going to have a hard time containing him tonight on the road.

Lightning (+1.5) @ Wild (-120)
I am going to call my shot on this one and not even predict a game-winner. Instead, I am going with Brayden Point any time goal scorer at +130 on Bovada. Point is top 15 in goals right now with 6, and I think he adds to that total tonight. This season, Point has only had 4 games where he hasn’t scored a goal, and it has been shown that he can bounce back and score those games after he doesn’t…. which last game he did not. I think he gets at least one tonight.

Aztecs (+24.5) @ Broncos (-3000)
Ashton Jeanty's props may be my favorite thing I’ve seen in gambling. As much as a buff as I am, this young man deserves every bit of credit that he has been getting, and by the looks of it he has every right to be compared to the great Barry Sanders with the way he runs the football. I like him at 3 touchdowns today for -170. I think the Broncos blow the breaks off of the Aztecs, and I think Ashton continues to prove why he is one of the top candidates for the Heisman. This kid is special, and regardless of who he is playing there is a reason why it is minus money right now for him to score 3 touchdowns.

Pick of the Day/Potential Parlay
The pick of the day is Jeanty -170. He is that good, and I think he is going to have two by halftime. Boise State may look to rest him in the fourth quarter. The Broncos are on a roll and have a legitimate shot to make the CFBP, and they need Ashton healthy, so they will get him his touches early and then get him out of the game. I think the Potential Parlay of the day would be focusing on the two other player probs I mentioned. I like both Brusnon over on 3’s and a Point goal to set everyone up for a potential nice payday going into the weekend!
